| Tony Windle was born five months after men landed on the Moon and as such is a child of the Age of Aquarius. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| His early life saw him grow up in rural Queensland, but a longing for the bright lights and big city culture had him in Melbourne by the time he was 18. He has more or less lived in Melbourne ever since, with a few exceptions including living in rural Victoria for one and a half years. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| He eats a vegetarian diet and enjoys indulging in fish and crab also. Tony likes to envisage himself in places where there is a warm climate, beaches, rainforests, rock pools and everyone roaming around naked chanting the latest feel-good rhythm. You could also see him driving a Volvo (if he had one) and enjoying occasional getaways staying in either a tent or caravan. He does not deny the fact that he enjoys being pampered in 5 star service though. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Tony has a dream of opening a bed and breakfast style accommodation with an organic style cafe (no alcohol on site) which would have swimming facilities and a large room which groups could hire to exercise in, meditate, or whatever. Once a month he would send a bus to collect a group of elders from a nursing home or disability residence and put on an afternoon tea after which they could swim and basically enjoy the environment. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Tony's first adventure overseas was to Thailand in 1992. He then spent a two year working holiday from 1997 in the United Kingdom based in Edinburgh. It was during this time that Tony became a day tripper (without the aid of transportation), a vegetarian and developed a keen interest in spirituality. At the end of this working holiday he joined Donald on an extensive tour of England, Wales, France and Germany. Since then Tony has travelled to California, Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji. He says that his touring has given him a great deal of insight into other cultures. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Tony's career has been focused mainly in the hospitality field. He was associated with a major International Hotel chain for many years serving in Surfers Paradise, Hobart and Melbourne. He was highly regarded and received many awards amongst them an all expenses paid trip to Malaysia. He is currently working in a large international hotel in East Melbourne. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Tony's ultimate aim is to become a millionaire after becoming a 'body healer" - assisting with the well being of others. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| His interests are philosophy, meditation, mixing with people and relaxing or "chilling out". | ||||||||||||||||||||

Tony Windle has shared accommodation with Donald over a number of years at various locations. He was resident at Schaanwald from June 2004 until returning to Melbourne in January 2006. Tony has a number of interests. He is a vegetarian and is careful what he eats. He also is vastly different in his outlook to life from Donald and has taken on this 'column' to present some contrast. | ||||
