8th MAY, 2008

The stairs have been carpeted   Drapes adorn the sitting room window   The view from the bedroom   The bedroom has had drapes fitted and some furniture moved in.

Things are now coming to a conclusion with the downstairs renovation. Whacko, Sloppo and Messer should be finished painting next week. There is still some furniture which also requires painting before being moved in and some decorative posters are on the way from the U.S.

The builder is due back mid-May to complete a few tasks and everything should be in order for a grand opening on 1st June as scheduled.

This little exhaust fan (which packs a wallop) has been fitted to the shower area   A heater is now above the new snazzy mirror in the bathroom.

17th APRIL, 2008

Inside of feature window has been painted and decorative plasterwork inserted on the girder underhang against the wall.   A close up of the decorative plaster work   The outside of the feature window has been painted camouflage green   New mirror in the bathroom. (A strip heating is to be installed above it)

16th APRIL, 2008
With the recent computer problems I have been unable to update the progress report for a while - so here's the latest photos of work
Tiles laid in the sitting room   Clothing rail and shelf added to wardrobes. (This area yet to be painted)   The front door - yet to have a primer paint. I think the whole front area will be done camouflage green to match in.

Another view of the front area. That cement roof has to have sealer applied before I can paint it.   The sitting room window has had a primer coat. It's going to be finished on the outside in camouflage green   Inside of the arch window has been plastered - a difficult area   This door covers up the area that led 'under the house' . The wall used to be where that girder is.

I have finished off painting one part of the ceiling in the sitting room and applied the primer to the front door.   This is the bedroom. One coat of paint has been applied. One more yet to do! - And then the cornices!   Another view of the bedroom   The new bathroom door which has had the primer and first coat.
