BOOKCASES

  
At long last the dingy, dirty, dreary, droll, decrepit dregs of the old carpet were removed from the accommodation wing on Thursday, 1st November, 2007 and replaced with a new deep blue plush pile carpet. (Blue was chosen as it will match the velvet curtains in two of the rooms).  

   
           
The actual ripping out of the old carpet, laying the underlay and the new carpet only took a few hours. The worst part of the job was removing the furniture prior to and then putting it all back again. In this latter endeavor I must thank Mr. Alan Rogers who rendered much needed assistance.      
           
Here is a photograph of the 'breakfast room table and chairs' a project Donald worked on and did all by himself. (It's amazing that it doesn't look too bad.)        
           
The Garage was erected on the concrete slab (see below) on Friday 13th July.          
           
Preparation of site for a garage and drinking water tank.        
    Excavation & leveling for the garage has been   completed. Rocks are for  a retaining wall    
A slab is poured on to which the garage will be erected.      
    Concrete slab poured & rock retaining wall erected.   A rock retaining wall at t he end of the driveway.    
           
The Cabinet Maker has finished the Bookcases in both the Drawing Room and Television Room
