Review:  (Table Talk. January 3, 1931)
"Another feature on this week's attractive Regent programme is the appearance of the Y.A.L. Boy's Band on the stage, who played "Mysterious Mose", Scottish Airs, "Colonel Bogey" and "Pat on the Back", so as to merit the applause of the audience. Their fault however was that they gave too many numbers."
(Herald, January 5, 1931)
"A very enthusiastic reception was given to the Y.A.L. Band on Saturday night. Melville Watson, the dapper eleven year old conductor directed the thirty musicians with virility and complete assurance
The Regent Concert Orchestra under Will Cade also played music that we enjoyed.
