| Another feature of the Regent programme for Saturday is the special musical and stage presentation entitles "Memories of the Viennese Nights", in which the outstanding musical 'hits' of the popular screen success will be presented on the stage in full orchestral and vocal setting. The principal roles will be sung by Frank Torrant, Neil Taylor and Marshall Crosby (all of whom will have leading parts in "His Royal Highness" the new Efftee musical production due for early release) with the support of a chorus of 30 and a stage orchestra which will supplement the band under Will Cade. | ||||||

| Review: (Table Talk July 7, 1932) | ||||||
| "Immediately after the Australian Opera Company's disbanding (following their regrettably unsuccessful season at the Princess Theatre), the management of Hoyt's Regent offered an engagement to their principal singers - Paulyne Bindley, Vincent McMurray and Ralph Illidge - and on next Saturday's programme a special Grand Opera presentation will be featured at this theatre; consisting of selected scenes from "Faust". Vincent McMurray, the South Australian lyric tenor, is well suited to the title role; Ralph Illidge (a West Australian bass), play Mephistopheles; and Miss Bindley is Marguerite, - a role in which she has already been acclaimed in London. This appearance of the three Australians at the Regent in their Grand Opera excerpt marks a notable departure from the customary picture theatre presentation, and it should meet with the approval of all audiences | ||||||
